Protecting Your Rights

The criminal justice system is my professional lifeblood. From the first day I entered a jail I realized what a powerful force the criminal law could be and the necessity for dedicated professionals to monitor and check its power. I know how overwhelming the legal process can be, especially when my clients and their families are under an enormous amount of stress. This is why my goal is to help you understand your rights and the issues affecting your case. My promise to my clients is honesty and zealous representation.

I graduated Duke University in 2002 and the University of Georgia School of Law, with honors, in 2005. During my time there, I was honored to be an Articles Editor on the University of Georgia Law Review where I wrote my note on a particularly troublesome process being carried out by the District Attorney's office and was able to try my first case to an acquittal before ever graduating. Thanks to an offer at the Western Circuit Public Defender's Office, I was able to stay in Athens, practice my passion and make a home before opening my own firm in 2009.
